NEW IMAGE – CHEAPER PRICES

I finished this summer surf school season with a new view on surf coaching. We re structured our lesson technique this summer and asked returning clientele for feedback, all of which was 100% positive.
The two changes we have made from NOW is cheaper priced lessons and more surf /water time during your surf lesson.
In the past we would do a long beach safety talk and a long technique talk on the beach before entering the water.
Don’t get me wrong, these talks are beneficial but what I have learnt from surf coaching is that people have more fun and learn more about surfing by actually spending more time in the sea catching waves and learning the technique.
Our safety talk has been cut down, we now only go over the important aspects of the beach and ocean environment. We stress that you will be learning to surf in no deeper than waist depth water, due to the fact that myself, Sam, Seb and Amanda all spent the first year of learning to surf in waist depth water catching wave after wave, we are all now sponsored surfers. This is how you learn to surf, those who say you need to paddle out the back early on are wrong, go down to your local surf beach and look out the back, you will notice a percentage of the guys out there are just sat there not catching any waves, these are the guys that started paddling out the back too early when they were learning.
The beauty of learning all of the techniques safely and in waist depth water is that you can master everything, even top turns and lip bashes, then, when you are ready and competent you will head out the back with confidence and apply all of the inside wave knowledge you have to out the back green wave surfing.
Our technique section has also been cut down as I found that giving too much technique information causes info overload and only baffles the student ending up being detrimental to surfing progression.
Onto our prices,
£25 for an ‘up and surfing’ lesson has been changed to £20!!!
2 day course now £40!!!
3day course now £60!!!
5 day course is £100
and private tuition stays at £50.
And the reason for the price drop? Genuinely because we Smart’s want to get more of you guys out their in the ocean having fun!
Mum and Dad running the chip shop (The Blue Lagoon) next door love to see and meet you guys (and love it even more when you buy their delicious chips and locally caught fish!) and us coaches enjoy getting you down the beach and into the surf, and why wouldn’t we, those of you who have had the pleasure of experiencing Sennen beach will truly understand that ‘it aint a bad office!’
Out of season (October-March) we will be doing weekend lessons, but only group bookings and private tuition.
